Micro Fiction - Re-union

It’s been exactly a year since he had left her alone after spending more than fifty years of togetherness, sharing all those discrete moments of hope and despair which together forms the bouquet of life. Her final moments with him just before his death are still afresh in her memory when he had promised her to come back and as their hands joined together to form a cusp of agreement, its warmth went away forever.

***Our tender heart engulfs within an ocean of memories half forgotten and half sleeping in some deep dark corner. When that gust of wind stirs that dark corner, those memories come alive again and some old forgotten song of love once again start playing in the heart***

मदमस्त हवा का झोंका आया
संग अपने कुछ यादे लाया
भूली बिसरी नयी पुरानी
कुछ ऐसी सौगाते लाया

Pensive Reflections. . .Jan 20 2015

Be mindful of the space that might creep in between the relations and make all the effort in the world to fill those soon, even if that requires to bend a little cause if you delay, those will form the part of relation and life will learn to go along with these.

Micro Fiction – Rebirth

His eyes beamed as he blew the last tank of the enemy with his heart saying “Hail Mother India” in every beat of his, when a series of bullets pierced him with the spring of blood oozing out of his body.

Spinning Tales - The Homecoming

“Santosh, I am coming down. Please bring the car at the gate in 15 minutes. And don’t be late, I don’t want to hear another of that traffic excuse please” I said. Santosh was my driver for the last 5 years. He was obedient and diligent but had this habit of coming late when called, especially while going back to home. His excuse was always the same, “Sir, there was some jam at the basement parking” but I somehow knew that it wasn’t due to traffic but due to his extended game of cards with other drivers, which used to completely absorb him.

Chronicles of a Solitary Soul – The Lost Soul

It’s so surprising to see the similar state of being alone having varied connotations for different individuals – One who experience the pain in it calls it ‘Loneliness’ and the one who experience the solace terms it as ‘Solitude’. And for the very few who figures in the later, there is some inherent charm in those moments which makes them not only bearable but also gratifying. That is what the magic of the solitary world is all about. There is a parallel world inside which is devoid of any sophistications and baggage of the external world making it as pure as ever.

Behind The Book. . .
Lost to the meaning of her life, a foreign writer arrives in Delhi seeking the wordless company of strangers. Delhi is an exploded sun, bleeding everywhere its untrammelled chaos: the feral dampness of bus fumes; the suicidal rush of scooters; the autorickshaw scats impregnated with thousands of odors - nauseous accretions of India's muddy human tide. The men with their stinking bidis rule as masters and the women remain walled in by centuries of tradition.
